GLOBAL WOMEN IN LEADERSHIP ALLIANCE™

CODE OF CONDUCT

(A Program of Brighton Marketing Corporation)

The Global Women in Leadership Alliance™ (“the Alliance”) is a global leadership network that promotes empowerment, integrity, respect, professional excellence, and ethical conduct among all members.
This Code of Conduct sets the expectations for member behaviour and outlines the professional standards required to maintain a safe, supportive, and high-performing environment.

Membership in the Alliance signifies full agreement to uphold this Code at all times.


1. PROFESSIONALISM & RESPECT

All members must demonstrate professionalism in every interaction.

Members agree to:

  • Treat all participants with dignity, courtesy, and respect.

  • Honour differences in background, culture, views, and experiences.

  • Communicate constructively and avoid hostile, dismissive, or judgmental behaviour.

  • Maintain a positive and uplifting atmosphere in meetings and discussions.

Disrespectful conduct—including rudeness, belittling comments, or unprofessional language—will not be tolerated.


2. CONFIDENTIALITY & PRIVACY

The Alliance is a confidential, safe space for women to share openly.

Members agree to:

  • Keep all personal stories, discussions, experiences, and shared materials confidential.

  • Never record, screenshot, or share private conversations without explicit permission.

  • Protect the identity and privacy of all participants.

Any breach of confidentiality is grounds for immediate disciplinary action or termination.


3. NO HARASSMENT, ABUSE, OR DISCRIMINATION

The Alliance maintains a zero-tolerance policy for:

  • Harassment (verbal, written, visual, or physical)

  • Bullying or intimidation

  • Sexual harassment

  • Discrimination based on gender, race, age, ability, culture, religion, or any protected ground

  • Abusive, threatening, or hostile conduct

Members who violate this policy will be removed immediately without refund.


4. POSITIVE PARTICIPATION & ENGAGEMENT

Members are expected to actively and positively engage in Alliance activities.

This includes:

  • Attending meetings regularly and on time

  • Participating respectfully in discussions

  • Supporting fellow members

  • Sharing insights without dominating conversations

  • Bringing a collaborative and solution-focused attitude

Members who repeatedly disrupt meetings may be suspended or counseled.


5. ETHICAL CONDUCT & INTEGRITY

Members must conduct themselves with honesty and integrity.

Members agree to:

  • Represent themselves accurately and truthfully

  • Avoid misleading claims about skills, credentials, or business offerings

  • Honour commitments made to other members

  • Maintain ethical standards in all professional and personal dealings

Misrepresentation or unethical behaviour may result in removal from the Alliance.


6. NO UNSOLICITED SELLING OR SPAM

The Alliance is not a sales platform.

Members agree to:

  • Avoid aggressive sales tactics or pressure-based selling

  • Refrain from mass messaging members with offers

  • Limit promotional content unless invited or contextually appropriate

  • Honour boundaries and respect personal and professional space

Members may share their work when relevant, but the Alliance must remain a supportive, not sales-driven, environment.


7. RESPECT FOR INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

Members agree to:

  • Not copy, reproduce, or share Alliance materials without permission

  • Respect copyright and ownership of all resources, templates, presentations, and programs

  • Avoid using another member’s ideas, content, or strategies without proper credit or consent

Unauthorized use of Alliance intellectual property is prohibited.


8. CONFLICT RESOLUTION

Members commit to resolving conflicts constructively and respectfully.

The Alliance expects members to:

  • Address issues calmly and directly with the person involved where appropriate

  • Avoid gossiping, complaining publicly, or involving uninvolved parties

  • Seek assistance from Alliance leadership if needed

Brighton Marketing Corporation may intervene when required to maintain a healthy community environment.


9. COMPLIANCE WITH ORGANIZATIONAL POLICIES

Members agree to follow:

  • All terms of the Membership Agreement

  • Guidelines issued by Alliance facilitators

  • Meeting protocols and communication rules

  • Any updated policies provided with reasonable notice

Non-compliance may result in disciplinary action.


10. REPRESENTATION OF THE ALLIANCE

Members understand that they represent the Global Women in Leadership Alliance™ in all professional interactions linked to the organization.

Members agree to:

  • Uphold the reputation of the Alliance

  • Conduct themselves in ways that reflect positively on the group

  • Avoid using the Alliance’s name without permission for business gain or endorsements


11. ACCOUNTABILITY & CONSEQUENCES

Failure to adhere to this Code of Conduct may result in:

  • Verbal or written warnings

  • Temporary suspension

  • Removal from meetings

  • Immediate membership termination (no refunds)

  • Permanent ban from future participation

Brighton Marketing Corporation reserves the right to determine appropriate actions.


12. COMMITMENT TO EMPOWERMENT

Above all, members commit to contributing to a global sisterhood of leaders who uplift, support, encourage, and inspire one another.

Members agree to:

  • Celebrate each other’s wins

  • Provide encouragement during challenges

  • Foster a culture of kindness, empowerment, and growth

  • Create a supportive global community for women leaders


13. ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

By participating in the Global Women in Leadership Alliance™, members acknowledge and agree to abide by this Code of Conduct.
